== How Do I Join? ==
Ensure you have added RBDK as a Rockstar Social Club friend, see the ID in the Google Doc. If you don't know how to do that or where to ask you have been filtered.

Before the start of the rally the server will be set up as invite only. RBDK as the host will invite all drivers.

== Restart Procedure ==
No such thing in a rally, so take care and go a little slower. If you have to retire the car you may re-enter the rally starting from Stage 6 as this will be our "service area" with Los Santos Customs available to repair your vehicle.

The rally consists of 11 stages with a combined length of 20.88 miles or 33.6 km which in any other rally game would be a piece of cake, but GTA has its quirks and funny business making this plenty long enough for some chaos.

A Stage Guide Book containing the start and finish line locations has been written for the occasion. Download it and print it or have it on a second screen or a tablet for reference since you cannot set the GPS in GTA to go the correct route. If you are found to cut corners because you didn't read the route (some stages this is very relevant) you will be penalized. == Rules ==

San Andreas Rally 2025 will be run in a private session of GTA Online with all contestants in the same lobby. The rally will NOT be run as a GTA race, but rather as simply a free roam event. This is to ensure the "real" rally experience driving from stage to stage and retaining damage picked up earlier.

First contestant lines up at the starting line defined in the stage guide. After setting off, about 30 seconds of wait will be before the next contestant sets off to ensure some spacing.

On stage finish, contestants must wait at the end of the stage (not blocking the finish) and then drive to the start of the next stage when the race organizer gives a go-ahead on mumble. Basically just wait until everyone is ready.

Timing will be done by each individual driver. At the end of a stage, when everyone has finished or retired, you will relay the time to RBDK who puts it into a spreadsheet.

I recommend you set your phone up such it doesn't turn off its display until after 10 minutes, and then use the stopwatch app. My method is start the timer, and as it hits 5 seconds you set off. This gives you a little countdown to set off to, and you simply subtract 5 seconds from the time as you stop the timer.

I will penalize you if you're a little bitch and try to cheat with this. This is a special event for the sake of a fun evening, not a tryhard fest.

Any damage sustained to a vehicle is kept until the service point before stage 6. ONLY at this point (and before starting the rally) may a driver repair the car with Los Santos Customs or by spawning in the car using the mechanic. In other words if you break your car on stage 3, you're stuck with it for stage 4 and 5 as well.

If the car is "destroyed" (you need insurance to get a new one) you are retired until stage 6. If you destroy the car after the service point, you are DNF.
