'''OVGT3''' is our upcoming weekly GT3 racing series in its second iteration in [[Game Stock Car]] organised by ''/ovg/ Politburo !!armHIyozW6d''.
The original 2014 series in rFactor was organized by ''Kraid-Tim Schmidt''.

You can download the game at the [[Game Stock Car | wiki page]].

A beta of the mod is available in the [http://get-good.net/index.php?title=Game_Stock_Car /OVG/ Updater Tool] for download and a test server is [http://wat-ovg.liveracers.info/Live/?server=WAT:%20OVGT3 up and running].

If you want to join, please sign up and keep an eye on the [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1R3KWTJsrlS9X2EZUNXY8KbHfsHD-t3_EU_A1n6wBBQc/edit#gid=0 Google Document for more information].

== Restart Proceedure ==
There will be '''no''' restarts in ovgt3. The only situation where a restart will be considered is if the track is entirely blocked in such a way that people not involved in the incident are genuinely unable to pass by and continue with the race.

== Car Choice ==
Competitors will be allowed to change their car between rounds 1,2 and 3 of the season, but they will be then locked into whichever car they start round 3 in. After this point changing cars will incur a 50 point deduction. The only exception is for any new cars that are introduced to the mod during the season - you will be allowed a free change to one of these, should they exist.

'''RULE DROPPED DUE TO FURTHER BoP PATCHING - CAR CHOICE IS NOW FREE'''

== Rules and Punishments (Still a Work in Progress) ==
Jump starts and pitlane infringements will be handled by the game. Specific track limit rules
for each round will be clarified the Sunday or Monday before the race. Ignorance of them is not an
excuse. Just because something is not on this list does not mean that it is acceptable - if it would
be illegal in real GT3 racing, don't do it without explicit permission. Ask for clarification
if you are unsure. In general, cutting the track i.e. shortening the race distance is absolutely
forbidden, but extending the track i.e. having to drive further, will be viewed more leniently. In the event that a competitor is awarded a time penalty but has DNF'd from the race in question, they will be docked championship points as a percentage of their total (i.e. 60 points won't be deducted from someone who only has 10). Otherwise: (One race meeting means one Saturday i.e. 2 races)

Consistent disregard for track limits for entirety of the race
*1st Incident: Exclusion from race results
*Further incidents: One race meeting ban

Consistent disregard for track limits for parts of the race distance that are deemed by stewards to not
be driver error
*30 seconds added to race time

Cutting the track for no reason other than to gain time
*5 second penalty per cut

Flaunting track limits in such a way that it enables you to complete a pass on a competitor or
prevent a pass on you occurring(1)
*30 second penalty per incident. Returning the position gained will lead to no punishment.
(1)Cutting the track to prevent serious contact will not be punished as this would be considered
the fault of the overtaking driver putting their car where it shouldn't be. This does not give a
blank cheque to viciously block an attempted overtake, then claim you cut across the track to
avoid contact

Serious trolling or disruption of race event
*Immediate removal from server and season ban

Intentional ramming, blocking, shoving or otherwise severe contact with a competitors car
*1st incident: Exclusion from race results and 1 race meeting ban
*2nd incident: Series ban

Unintentional but avoidable contact with a competitor, causing severe disruption(2) to their race
*60 seconds added to race time
(2)i.e Pit stop to repair damage/retirement from race

Unintentional but avoidable contact with a competitor, causing moderate disruption(3) to their race
*30 seconds added to race time
(3)i.e. car leaves the circuit and comes to a halt, suffers noticeable aero damage, loses multiple places

Unintentional but avoidable contact with a competitor, causing minor disruption such that they lose
no places or a handful of seconds by running off track
*No punishment. Returning the position is polite but not required. A consistent record of such incidents will lead stewards to view that the contact is no longer unintentional.

== Stewarding Process ==
/ovgt3/ will be served by a team of 3 anonymous stewards who will have the power to decide whether
to issue punishments to drivers accused of flaunting the rules. The anonymity of these stewards is
critically important, so if any of their identities are exposed, they are found to have been
conferring with outside parties about the decision, or are found to have explicitly been displaying bias,
they will instantly be removed from the team and replaced.

The process for incident reporting will be this:
*1) Competitor posts webm of the incident containing alleged rule breaking, along with a lap number and timestamp from the replay, along with a description of what rule they think was broken. If the incident is not able to be summed up in a single webm or if you cannot make one, please post a detailed description of the incident along with lap number and timestamp
*2) Senior Steward will review the footage and decide whether it should be sent to the stewards. If it shouldn't, the process ends here. If it should be...
*3) Stewards are told to review the footage before submitting a vote to either punish the relevant driver or to take no action. A 2 out of 3 majority takes the vote, and there will be no abstentions. In the event a steward is involved in the incident, they will lose all voting rights and in the event of a 1-1 tie between remaining stewards, the senior steward will have the deciding vote. There will no conferring with any outside parties when voting.
*4) Votes are submitted back to the senior steward who then issues and announces the punishment. In the event that all drivers involved in an incident are found guilty of rule breaking or an individual driver breaks the rules but creates serious inconvenience to themselves by doing so without effect on another competitor, punishment may be withheld at the discretion of the series organisers, but will still officially count as a punished incident.
*5) Stewards decisions are binding with no appeal. The only opportunity to have a decision reversed is if a steward is found to have been displaying consistently clear bias.

==''Creating Skins Guideline''==
